Small animal urology: Can’t pee – can’t stop!

Top up your knowledge on canine and feline urology by attending this dynamic day of CPD led by two of the world authorities in this area! All lectures will be around 30 minutes long so that as many ‘hot topics’ as possible can be covered.
All delegates attending this course will receive a free copy of Peter’s new book ‘Understanding canine incontinence’ as part of the course registration.
Peter’s lectures will concentrate on the diagnosis and management of adult canine urinary incontinence, especially the most common condition, urethral sphincter mechanism incompetence (USMI). Included will be getting the best out of radiographic investigations, looking at the various treatment options for USMI and the realistic results to be expected for these and how to improve your colposuspension technique. At the other extreme, the management of the dysuric dog will be discussed. To wake everyone up at the end, there will be a light-hearted, case-based quiz.
Danièlle’s very practical lectures will cover the causes, diagnosis and treatment options of feline urinary tract disorders. Discussion will include the latest advances in our understanding of the causes of these conditions, as well as some very practical tips on their diagnosis and management. Conditions discussed will include idiopathic cystitis (and the role of behavioural modification), bladder stones, urethral plugs, bacterial cystitis and bladder cancer.
